FireCell Control Panels
The range of control panels for FireCell is comprehensive, in both size and features. From a single loop, with a few devices, up to a multi-panel wireless network, across a number of buildings. FireCell is fully scalable, whatever the application, whatever the challenge.
All FireCell control panels feature wireless ready software, guaranteeing easy intuitive installation and commissioning, as well as full addressability across an entire system or network.
The EMS range of control panels feature the Syncro AS, for 1-2 (wireless or hybrid) loop systems, and for larger, more complex systems, we have the Taktis.
Both systems accommodate up to 126 fire devices per (wireless or hybrid) loop, with Taktis fully expandable, as needed, to protect a single building or a number of buildings, using the unique EMS wireless networking capabilities.

All of the above control panels are supplied and supported by EMS as part of the FireCell range of products.
Flexibility for installers and end users
One of the biggest features of the FireCell platform, is that the patented EMS wireless infrastructure is underpinned by the popular, and widely accepted, XP95 protocol.
What does this mean? Well, if you prefer to use a control panel with this universal “open protocol”, as you may have a preference or are familiar with another manufactures’ product, then you can.
Most XP95 control panels across the fire market will already support EMS FireCell fire devices, along with the unique EMS “Hub & Cluster” system topology. This will give full addressability across the entire system, and full compatibility with EMS wireless products.
Check with your panel partner, that EMS wireless devices are fully supported with software already embedded, or contact the EMS technical team – Please note that support for any control panel not supplied by EMS would be provided by that particular manufacturer.
For older XP95 control panels, or those already installed that need additional devices or refurbishment, it may be possible, in almost all circumstances, to add updated firmware to augment EMS wireless compatibility. Again, please check with the panel manufacturer. For any panels without wireless
Once wireless compatibility is confirmed, it is then possible to add an EMS wireless hub for a 100% wireless system, or wireless gateways (RLM) can be introduced onto loop cabling for a hybrid fire detection system.
EMS 2X-A Control Panel
EMS have an alternative control panel option for smaller systems, the 2X-A. This is an in-house development, from our parent company Carrier, based on an existing fire detection platform. This also utilises the XP95 protocol for 100% FireCell wireless compatibility.
This 2X-A panel is a newly developed, cost-effective product, giving installers and users yet another alternative based on their own individual requirements. Fully supported by EMS and available as part of the EMS portfolio of products.
The 2X-A can be 100% wireless, or with the inclusion of wireless gateways (RLM) function as a hybrid fire detection system for complete flexibility.
Whilst this is focused on smaller systems, up to 2 loops, it can be expanded to 4 loops, as well as having wired networking capability of up to 64 nodes/systems.
EMS FireCell is the most flexible and scalable wireless system available today. Our patented system architecture is designed to make compatibility, with a wide range of popular control panels, simple to achieve.
This ensures you have the choice to decide what suits you, and what suits your customer.
