EMS was established in 1967 as one of the world’s first independent wireless technology developers, entering the field when wireless solutions were still in their infancy. Nearly six decades later, EMS is widely recognised as the leading authority in wireless fire detection innovation.

The launch of System 5000 in the early 1990s marked a turning point. Quickly becoming the go-to solution for wireless fire detection, System 5000 evolved from a specialist choice for heritage sites into a trusted system deployed across a wide range of building types.

When the EN54-25 European wireless standard was introduced, EMS responded with the next generation of fire detection: FireCell. This advanced platform brought wireless fire technology firmly into the mainstream and is now used in virtually any environment where a compliant fire detection system is required.

Based in Herne Bay, Kent, EMS supplies wireless fire detection solutions worldwide—wherever reliable, compliant fire protection is needed.

Our manufacturing operations have been relocated to the Kidde Global Solutions Group facilities in Europe, enabling us to increase production capacity and meet the growing demand for EMS wireless solutions.
