Expanding or upgrading an existing fire system can often be a challenge. With FireCell, this process is straightforward — but even if you’re working with a system from another manufacturer, EMS has the answer.
The SmartCell iWZM (Intelligent Wireless Zone Monitor) can be seamlessly integrated with any conventional or addressable system via a third-party hardwired input/output device, enabling the addition of wireless devices with ease.
This makes it an ideal solution for incorporating high-power devices such as sounders and VADs on loops with limited power capacity.
Furthermore, because wireless devices are addressed back to the iWZM itself, the unit also allows additional devices to be added beyond the original loop count.

Flexible connectivity
SmartCell iWZM is suitable for connection with addressable and conventional fire alarm systems. See example addressable and conventional system schematics. Each iWZM supports a maximum of 16 SmartCell wireless devices.
The addressable system connection example illustrates a typical connection to the system via a 3rd party hardwired input/output device. Connection to an addressable system can be made either via the hardwired inputs and outputs of the hardwired addressable input/output device, or directly to the hardwired inputs and outputs of the control panel.
