The EMS commercial team supported the Fire Protection Association, at their Fire Sector Summit, this November. Held at the world renowned Fire Service College in Moreton in Marsh the event took place over two days and was attended by many key figures from the fire industry. Various seminars were held on some of the most important issues including the risks associated with timber frame buildings, an FIA report on false alarms centred on Glasgow as well as product related updates and features.
The false alarm report was one of the the most revealing as the objective was to identify the root causes of the alarm activations and how they could be attributed to particular events and/or failures. This was an in depth presentation showing that many of these unwanted alarms could be eradicated by a number of simple yet effective initiatives. We await publication of the report which will make interesting reading.
The event was hosted by BBC presenter Nick Ross most famous for his Crimewatch series who encouraged debate and interaction with the audience.
Ray Puttock, EMS Director of Marketing commented “the event was successful from an EMS perspective allowing us the opportunity to discuss wireless and hybrid fire detection with many new contacts who were not yet embracing wireless technology”
