With visitors from right across the region it was an ideal opportunity to look at the markets and the products.
EMS had volunteered to man the FIA Export stand for the duration of the show, in conjunction with a few others, which meant we were able to speak with a wide range of visitors. Some wanted to know about EN standards, some were interested in particular technology and some just wanted to see what the UK had to offer.
Those enquiring about products were directed to UK companies who were exhibiting at the event in the UK pavilion. Without exception all such enquiries were satisfied using British solutions and know how!
It was interesting just to see how many UK companies were present with many of the well known names in attendance.
It also gave us an opportunity to look at technology not seen in UK markets, and just how our European cousins and those further afield were approaching the very similar challenges we are all facing. The overwhelmingly feeling was that the markets across the region were buoyant and active.
On the Wednesday evening there were a couple of events organised by UK TI, we attended a networking event and did indeed meet a couple of interesting people. The message of the night was put across quite clearly: Get into export now!
